vocala (formerly nůmama choir), is an established women’s choir based in Sevenoaks.

 

Now in our 13th year, we provide women at all stages of motherhood and musicianship with a space to sing, support one another, and socialise. We currently have a membership of over 30 amazing women, ranging from first time mums of newborns to those with multiple children at secondary school.

 

We are musically ambitious, working towards performances twice a year, but there are no auditions and there is no requirement to read music. We learn both by ear and with sheet music, focusing on the joy of singing with other like-minded women. Whether you’re an experienced singer, or haven’t sung since school, vocala offers a welcoming place to raise your voice.

 

We are a true community choir, rehearsing in the heart of Sevenoaks at The Stag Plaza Suite every Friday morning during term time. Prospective members are warmly invited to join us for a trial session.
